If you are here about the "Faith and the Believer Too" concert, I'm sorry to inform you that you are to late.  The concert was a couple of days ago and it was well attended.  The muscians had a good time entertaining the audience.  Keep watching this space and we'll inform you of our next concert.  This next Sunday we have a RLCO  concert in the Dungeon at 2 PM, just tap on RLCO Rehearsals for all of the info.

Are you here to find out more about The Faith and The Believers Too Concert at 2PM Sunday, November 20th?

First of all we'll be located in the Dungeon at Backus Community Center.  To find us, you have to walk outside to the West part of the building and then walk either north or south until you are exactly between Backus and AB.  If you look east, you'll see a big sign and a door saying The Dungeon.  You can walk through the door and go downstairs to the Dungeon.  If you need or want to go to the Dungeon by elevator walk in the yellow double doors and walk until you see the elevator sign.  Do the standard elevator thing and get aboard the unit when it arrives.  Push the B button and you'll be taken down to the Dungeon.  If you are still mixed up on directions go to Home page and scroll down until you find very detailed instructions to get to the Dungeon.

2nd the concert will be in two parts and there will be a short intermission.  There will be treats and coffee that you can munch on throughout the performance or at the intermission.  The suggested donation for the concert is $10 for adults, $7 for children or $25 for a family.

3rd we'll be playing the following numbers

    A. Make the World go Away  -- instrumental and vocals -- this is   an old Eddie Arnold country song

    B.  It had to be You -- Instrumental, trumpet and vocals -- this is an old jazz song and was    made  popular in the movie "When Harry Met Sally"

The Summer Band of 2011 is over, but the band   members want to keep on rehearsing and playing  concerts; therefore, there are rehearsals at 5PM    Monday, and Wednesday.   There are concerts about once a month. Call John   Faith at  1-218-286-3281 for information.  .

Summer Band for 2012 will be as follows:

The Summer Band is a  student--adult  band lead by Mr. Faith and helped by the other area band directors.  Anyone can join.  All you have to do is show up, play and pay the fee, $25.  It's purpose is to supply music for concerts and to provide music for the 4th of July parade.  The songs played will be some of the repertory that was done last summer and some new songs.   Folders are to stay at the Dungeon, but you can check out practice music.

Bring your instrument as we'll be playing from the first day.

You won't need chairs or stands.

Once again we have been asked to perform during the 4th of July parade and afterwards in the Band Shell.  This year we will also play a concert on June 17th at the Band Shell.  If you want to play any other concerts all you have to do is ask and I'll try to arrange them.   If you want to be in the unit call me at 1-218 286-3281 and leave a message or just show up at rehearsal with an instrument and your fee.

All of the rehearsals will be in the Dungeon.  Need directions or info, go to www.mrfaithslasers.com and check the Home page for directions or tap on Band Rehearsals for info.  The rehearsals will start on Monday, June 8th and stop on Wed, July 1st.  They will be held Monday thru Thursday each week.  The rehearsal times are 7AM and 5PM each day.  You can attend either or both daily sessions.  The reasons for the many times and awkward hours are:

    1. 7AM is before most people go to work, and 5PM is when they get off work.

    2.  Two times a day? -- I'm trying to accommodate anyone who works, but would like to make at least one rehearsal a day.

    3.  It would be nice if you could play at all of the sessions as some of us need to get our chops in shape.

There will be a fee of $25 for the sessions. (Payable to the Dungeon -- all fees go towards keeping the Dungeon open)   If you want to play, but can't afford the fee, see Mr. Faith.

Thank you,

John Faith
